: Abstract We briefly review several recent results in the theory of diffusion in the light of the last decade advances on dynamical systems. We show how the diffusion coefficient can be calculated from the classical Ruelle resonances of the dynamical system, i.e., from complex zeros of the dynamical zeta function.

This book discusses classical results, as well as recent developments, related to the Cahn–Hilliard equation. It is based on the lectures that I gave at the CBMS-NSF Conference on the same topic on May 20–24,at Montgomery Bell State Park Inn and Conference Center, Burns, Tennessee, and sponsored by the University of Memphis.

Rolla, MissouriUSA. Dynamical systems theory is especially well-suited for determining the possible asymptotic states (at both early and late times) of cosmological models, particularly when the governing equations are a finite system of autonomous ordinary differential equations.

In this book we discuss cosmological models as dynamical systems, with particular emphasis on. Comets are small bodies, but of great cosmic relevance.

Given its pristine nature, they may preserve valuable and unique information on thechemical and physical processes that took place in theearly solar system, and that may be occurring in the formation of other planetary systems. They might have even played a very important role in the origin of life on Earth.

The degenerate Cahn–Hilliard equation is a standard model to describe living tissues. It takes into account cell populations undergoing short-range attraction and long-range repulsion effects. It is rarely covered as a coherent topic in its own right. When it is discussed the approach is frequently very dry, splitting the teaching into, for example, stars, galaxies and cosmologies, and as a consequence, books lack depth and are rarely.

This book deals with an effect in celestial mechanics that has become quite important in exoplanet research. The Lidov-Kozai effect reveals itself in coherent periodic variations (which can be very large) of the inclination and eccentricity of an orbiting body in the presence of an inclined : Ivan I.
